Gaby Roslin paid an emotion tribute to Keith Chegwin in the wake of his death.
The actor and presenter passed away on Monday at the age of 60 after a long battle with a lung condition.
Roslin worked with Chegwin on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast in the 90s.
The TV presenter told Paul Ross and Carole Malone while she felt devastated, she couldn't believe how much love he was receiving across the UK.
She said: "I hope he knows how much he was adored. On my Instagram account, I can't believe what people have written - it's incredibly moving.
"Wherever he is, I hope he's watching down and seeing it. He was one of those people - he probably wouldn't want us to be sad because he wanted people to be happy all the time.
"He was a joyous individual, an utter joy to work with. As a co-host, he always let you come in with the last line or get the laugh, he wasn't greedy at all.
"He was a one-off, there was nobody quite like him."
