Broadcaster Ian Hislop and comedy writer Nick Newman joined Jon Holmes to discuss Spitting Image and their new play.
They revealed more about their satirical play The Wipers Times, which is about a newspaper created on the frontline during the First World War and their love for the true story behind it.
Newman said he felt the story was powerful enough to sustain a drama rather than a documentary, even though they could have created one.
Hislop added: "All the action takes place in bunkers, in trenches, in dugouts, it's pretty enclosed, their world is pretty much huge noise up and around tiny spaces, so the stage fitted perfectly."
The pair also spoke about their time writing for TV series Spitting Image, saying that most of their writing for the show whilst driving around south London.
