Jason Manford has revealed more details about his debut album.

The comedian and West End performer popped by the talkRADIO studios for a chat with Jon Holmes

He has released his album A Different Stage, which is a collection of show tunes inspired by his career in musical theatre.

His roles in the West End have included Adolfo Pirelli in Sweeney Todd, Leo Bloom in The Producers, and Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, for which he was given strong reviews.

He told Jon why he went for it and the challenges he faced, saying: "All the comics I was into as a kid could all hold a note.

"I come from a musical family, it was sort of a normal thing for us to do, singing.

"It's not a weird departure in that respect, I just love it, it's like posh karaoke."
