Saturday, May 19, 2018

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials have attracted some of the best-known names from showbiz to Windsor.

Here's a who's-who of the celebrity guests.

David and Victoria Beckham

The Beckhams have met Harry and Meghan through David's humanitarian work, and Victoria's high-profile friends on the fashion circuit. Victoria revealed they'd been invited during an appearance on James Corden's US chat show The Late Late Show in April.

Chloe Madeley

Daughter of veteran TV presenters Richard and Judy Chloe Madeley arrived with her fiance James Haskell.

George and Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney and Meghan are said to have known each other for a while, and it's expected that the Clooneys will attend the private reception at Frogmore House this evening.

Pippa Middleton

Pippa arrived in a summery floral dress with husband James Matthews. Meghan's future sister-in-law went for a more demure look than her appearance at sister Kate's wedding to William, which almost stole the show.

James Blunt

James Blunt jokingly tweeted that Prince Harry invited him to the Royal Wedding by text. The pair served together in the Army, where they were in the same regiment.

Carole Middleton

Kate Middleton's mum Carole and dad Michael went for traditional dress for their appearance.

Idris Elba

Idris Elba and his fiancee Sabrina Dhowre arrived in regal colours. When he was younger, Idris received a grant from Prince Charles' charity The Prince's Trust, to help him advance his career.

Cressida Bonas

Cressida Bonas wasn't Harry's only ex to be attending. The 28-year-old dated the Prince from 2012-2015, and they've remained friends since.

Oprah Winfrey

The Mirror reported that Oprah will be interviewing Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, after Doria was spotted leaving her mansion. It seems she also struck up a friendship with Meghan and Doria as she was one of the first to arrive at the wedding.

Chelsy Davy

Zimbabwean-born Chelsy and Prince Harry dated between 2004-2011 after Harry met her on his gap year. Similarly to Cressida, Harry remained friends with Chelsy, who now runs her own jewellery line.

Earl Spencer

Princess Diana's brother and his third wife Karen were among the guests.

Jonny Wilkinson

Prince Harry, rubgy ace Jonny Wilkinson and Harry's cousin Zara Tindall took part in a wheelchair rubgy tournament in 2014 to promote the Invictus Games.

Priyanka Chopra

Indian actress Priyanka is a close friend of Meghan's, spoke previously about how she thought Meghan was born to be a "global influencer". The pair have known each other about four years.

Zara and Mike Tindall

Harry's cousin Zara, who is currently pregnant with her second child with husband Mike Tindall, arrived without their daughter Mia, who wasn't part of the bridal party.

James Corden

James Corden and wife Julia Carey are thought to have scored invitations to both wedding receptions as well as the wedding. Sources say he's been friends with Harry for years, but he's managed to keep that fairly quiet.

Joss Stone

Joss has been friends with Prince Harry for some time, and has sung at charity concerts organised by the charity Sentebale, which Prince William and Harry joined forces with in 2014. It means 'forget me not' in the Sesotho language, and Joss is also an ambassador.

Victoria Aitken

Earl Spencer's former wife Victoria Aitken arrived with her children Eliza, Louis and Kitty Spencer.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie

The two princesses arrived with their father Prince Andrew. Princess Eugenie is set to marry her fiance Jack Brooksbank at the same location, St George's Chapel, in August.

John Major

Former prime minister John Major arrived with his wife Norma.

Elton John

Elton John arrived with his husband David Furnish. He and Prince Harry became friends through their charity work, and he joined Harry in 2016 at the 21st International AIDs Conference in Durban, South Africa, to represent his own charity The Elton John AIDs Foundation and talk about the impact of AIDs and HIV.

Serena Williams

Serena Williams is a long-time friend of Meghan. She shared an Instagram story of her getting ready, writing: "So my friend is getting married today, and I’m up super early. I’ve known her for so many years, and I’m so happy for her." She arrived with husband Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, and their baby Olympia.

Marcus Mumford

He might not be such a big name in music anymore, but Mumford and Sons' Marcus was at the wedding with his actress wife Carey Mulligan. He was something of a surprise guest - while other musicians ike Elton John and Joss Stone have well-documented friendship with the Royals, Marcus has kept his under wraps.
