Iain Lee launches into a Scouse-off with accent king Korean Billy (and gets thrashed)

Iain took on Korean Billy in a Scouse-off - and paid the price

Iain Lee's Scouse accent was disappointing to say the least

Iain Lee became embroiled in the mother of all accent-offs with YouTube sensation Korean Billy last night, with his guest earning a convincing victory.

Billy, based in South Korea (hence the name) has racked up millions of views on his YouTube channel through his impersonations of various British accents, from Geordie to Bristolian.

So naturally Iain called him out and challenged him to demonstrate his prowess on the mother of all mid-market late-night phone-in-based talk shows.

They chose to do a Scouse accent, which was probably a mistake on Iain's part as it's the strongest part of Billy's repertoire. Billy proceeded to wipe the floor with his distinguished host, his pronunciation of the word "chicken" going down particularly well with our guest judge - producer Kath.

Kath's impartiality was called into one question at some stage, before she informed Iain that she wasn't his boss - leaving our host moderately annoyed.

Anyway, don't take our word for it - just listen to the ruddy clip above and hear the accent-off for yourself.
