Thronecast host and Virgin Radio presenter Jamie East joined Jonny Gould feat. Ash to talk about the biggest TV show in the world - Game of Thrones.

Talking about what the programme is all about, the Thronecast presenter explained, “Game Of Thrones is a reworking of the story of the roses… you’ve got several families in a parallel medieval universe all fighting and vying for the power of the kingdom.

"It’s the story about revenge, family, betrayal, war, sex, love and dragons.”

When asked why the fantasy epic had become so successful, Jamie said you can’t get away from the fact it’s an incredible story despite how it’s wrapped up in fantasy and dragons.

“It’s been going for seven years now, it’s the slowest overnight success ever. Because people now binge watch stuff, it’s allowed latecomers to still join the party.”

Game of Thrones season six will premiere on April 25 in the UK.
