Kato Harris, who was falsely accused of rape, has said putting Alison Levitt in charge of the CPS would be a wrongly accused victim's "worst nightmare."
Alison Saunders is to step down as director of public prosecutions. It is thought she may be replaced by Alison Levitt, who reportedly put "enormous pressure" on police to prosecute Harris, but when he was cleared raised concerns about automatically believing rape complainants.
Former teacher Harris told Julia Hartley-Brewer: "If Alison Saunders is a wrongly accused victim's bad dream, then Alison Levitt is their worst nightmare."
He thinks putting her in charge would be "like putting a fox in charge of a chicken coup.
"The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is well-known in the legal profession as being the knacker's yard for the incompetent solicitor.
"If you're not good enough to get a job in private practice, you go to the CPS."
Julia asked what he'd say to Saunders now, he said: "Where’s my apology? She has never spoken on the subject...she cost me my job, I cost her hers."
