An iPhone engineer has been sacked by Apple after allowing his daughter to post a video online about the new iPhone X.
Last week Brooke Amelia Peterson uploaded a video on YouTube which had been filmed in Apple’s cafeteria and showed the features available on the new smartphone.
It was later removed from the website, but the vlogger posted another video this weekend explaining that that her father Ken Bauer had been sacked.
She also said the reason the video was removed was that Apple had asked for it to be taken down, according to The South China Morning Post.
Peterson said: “At the end of the day, when you work for Apple, it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are. If you break a rule, they just have no tolerance."
Bauer was also seen in the video using the device to use Apple Pay before giving it to his daughter.
It is also thought that the device used in the video may not have been the final version, due to the engineer providing it.
The new phone is available for customers to pre-order and although the media has been able to use the phone ahead of its release, in depth reviews have not yet been published.
