Arthur Collins has been charged with offences relating to an alleged acid attack on a nightclub in east London.

Twenty people were injured after a substance was poured over revellers in the Mangle E8 nightclub in Hackney on April 17. Two were left blinded in one eye.

The incident prompted the evacuation of nearly 600 people from the premises.

Collins, the ex-boyfriend of TOWIE reality star Ferne McCann, was apprehended at an address in Rushden in Northamptonshire on Saturday.

He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates court today, where he faces 14 charges of wounding with intent, as well as one offence relating to alleged throwing of a corrosive substance.

The precise content of the liquid is not yet known, but it has been sent for forensic analysis.

A statement from Ferne McCann's representation announced she is pregnant with Collins' child, but the couple had split before the incident.
