Police searching for missing Fulham student Alice Hart have found a body at a reservoir in Barnes.
The body was discovered at the Leg of Mutton reservoir, a nature reserve which runs alongside the river Thames.
Officers were called at 09:57am this morning (Friday February 9) and, when the London Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, the woman was pronounced dead.
While formal identification awaits, Alice's family has been informed of this development.
At this early stage in the investigation, the death is being treated as unexplained. Enquiries continue.
Alice, a 23-year-old neuroscience student at UCL, was last seen at Sainsbury's on Fulham Palace Road on Tuesday evening. She had been at the nearby Charing Cross Hospital shortly beforehand.
Fiona Hart, Alice’s mother, said this week: “Alice is a very vulnerable young woman, my beloved daughter. We are desperate for anyone with any information to come forward.
“Alice, please come home. Mummy, Charlie and Lucy all want you home. We can get through this.”
