The divorce of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will revolve around custody of the children, according to divorce lawyer Sophie Cantillon.
The couple shocked the world yesterday after it emerged that Jolie had filed divorce papers, citing irreconcilible differences. Speculation has been growing as to what caused the split, though numerous tabloids have suggested the actress and director was "upset with Pitt's parenting skills".
Cantillon, a senior associate from leading divorce firm Vardags, which handles a lot of celebrities, says the key issue in the divorce will be the wellbeing of the couple's six children.
"In this situation where we're touching on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, there's so much to say about it," Cantillon said.
"It's uncertain when it comes to these two whether they're looking to deal with just the divorce or the finances too - it looks as though the primary issue is related to the children.
"[The issue with] custody is essentially that she wants the children to remain with her, it appears to me she just wants Brad Pitt to see the children on occasion."
