Gina Miller has explained why she decided to take the Government to court over Brexit, saying that anyone who can step up when things seem wrong should do so.
Businesswoman Gina Miller, known for winning a court case which challenged the Government's right in court to trigger Article 50 without Parliamentary approval, has now called for MPs to vote on the final outcome of Brexit.
Gina Miller told Paul Ross: “Id like Article 50 to be triggered as soon as possible so that May can show us her hand.
"On both sides, the MPs were whipped within an inch of their political careers [in the Brexit bill vote], I think it’s absolutely disgraceful.
She also answered a question posed by politician David Vance, who said: "Why can’t she accept the settled will of the British people, what’s her problem with democracy?"
Miller answered: “When I see things not working rightly and if other people aren’t going to step up…I think it’s up to everyone who can to step up and use their conscience and ask questions when things are not going as they should do."
