A prominent ambassador has said a recent article in The Times will awaken parents to the risks of their children posting videos on the web.

An article in the paper on Thursday claimed YouTube adverts which reportedly belong to a number of the world's biggest brands were drawing attention from paedophiles because they were being aired on videos of scantily clad children.

Most of the videos appear to have been posted by innocent children doing ordinary things, like brushing their teeth or doing physical activities.

Peter Davies, who represents Get Safe Online, said a story like this will open the eyes of parents to the risks of the digital world.
