Donald Trump is distracted by the media because he doesn't care about being President, he cares about being "the biggest Trump ever," according to a CBS political commentator.
When speaking at a rally in Phoenix Donald Trump blasted "fake media" and claimed his comments on the Charlottesville protests were misrepresented. He also called journalists "truly dishonest people" who "don't like our country."
American radio host Michael Graham told Sam Delaney Trump's rants about the media work because of "the availability of streaming media, Facebook Live, the internet, people can see stuff for themselves."
He says whilst they saw the neo-Nazis they also saw "a bunch of loony far-left...violent people with bottles full of urine and bricks and rocks beating the crap out of these knucklehead neo-Nazis. We saw them both, Donald Trump is right when he says that the press is not reporting both sides of that story."
However the thinks Trump keeps talking about the media rather than doing Presidential duties because he “doesn’t care that he’s President in the sense [of] the constitution...he just likes being the President because it lets him be the biggest Trump ever.”
Graham added that "the media are dominated by people on the left" and "journalism has completely abandoned the premise that they are in the business of reporting.”
