Donald Trump wants to create a Fake News trophy - but obviously Fox News won't be involved

'Your favourite President' Donald Trump calls for fake news award - but not for Fox News

Donald Trump thinks a fake news trophy should exist

Monday, November 27, 2017

Donald Trump has suggested the creation of a new award, whilst also claiming he is the "favourite President" of his Twitter followers.

Of course the suggestion, unsurprisingly, came in the form of a tweet today (November 27).

The US President said: "We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me). They are all bad. Winner to receive the FAKE NEWS TROPHY!"

We think it seems like a bit of an unfair competition if Trump can choose which outlets should be involved, whilst also claiming all of them are bad.

However it's not particularly surprising that Fox News escapes censure, given it's long-standing support of the Presidency.

As for the claim about being people's favourite President, the responses on Twitter seem to suggest otherwise.

One user claimed he had a "laughable presidency" whilst another suggested "I'm a more mature leader than you."
