Dover man 'threw microwave at car in vehicle rampage'

The arrested man has been released pending further enquiries

The 29-year-old man is suspected of damaging a total of five vehicles

Officers have arrested a man suspected of throwing a microwave into the windscreen of a parked car.

The 29-year-old was taken into custody on Wednesday October 11, 2017 on suspicion of causing damage to a total of five vehicles in the Lascelles Road area of Dover last month.

On Monday September 18 it was reported that a car had been damaged by an item thrown from a garden. Then two days later, on September 20, the rear windscreen of the same vehicle was reported smashed, and on September 23 it was reported that a man used a bat-like object to break the tail light of another car.

Finally, on September 25, it was alleged that a man damaged three vehicles, throwing a microwave into the windscreen of one of them.

The arrested man has been released pending further enquiries.
