George Galloway has called on the Muslim community to help identify people who are becoming radicalised.
He made the comments when talking about the recent spate of terrorist attacks in the UK - four in as many months.
The talkRADIO presenter said: "If they appointed me to deal with this problem in the Muslim community I would go straight into the mosques and I would talk to them as someone they respect and someone who respects them.
"I’d say this, you are as entitled to your non-secular, non-liberal, religious views as any Roman Catholic is, as any Protestant is, as any Jew is. You are entitled to that.
"But you have to help us ensure that nobody in your flock is going to strap explosives onto their back and murder other people’s daughters and sons in public arenas in Britain.
"And you’re going to have to help us and you are in a good position to help us identify these people before their rising extremism becomes an exploding ticking bomb."
