George Galloway has revealed he thinks Prince Charles is a "plonker" and hopes he never becomes the head of state.
He made the comments ahead of his interview with author Tom Bower tomorrow (March 22). He has written a new book entitled The Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion, and Defiance of Prince Charles.
Galloway said: "I’ve never met Prince Charles, but I think he’s a plonker and if that opinion was likely to be changed by any book it wouldn’t be a Tom Bower biography.
"Prince Charles, the pampered, preposterous, popinjay Prince is not fit, if any of them are, to be the head of state of Britain. So I lift my cup of tea to a long life for Her Majesty.
"Not sure how much longer anyone can live but I hope she lives long enough that this preposterous, pampered, popinjay Prince never becomes the head of state.
"If you don’t believe me if you think I’m being harsh you haven't read Tom Bower’s excerpts in the Daily Mail."
Our talkRADIO host also revealed "as a teenager I served the Queen not in the Armed Forces though, I nearly did.
"But as a wine waiter in the Angus Hotel in Dundee. I asked her 'red or white, your majesty?' and she answered 'yes please,' which posed me one of my first dilemmas of state. She asked me 'what did you do?' I said I poured white. She said 'you made the right choice'."
