The Government could be in for a rough day this week as it publishes the Great Repeal Bill.

The bill is to explain how existing EU laws will be turned into UK statutes the day after the country formally exits the European Union.

Described by Theresa May as an "essential step", it outlines how the government plans to ensure a smooth Brexit.

The legislature is to be published on Thursday, but there are some among the Tory Party who might not give the bill the easiest ride through Parliament.

With Theresa May now clinging to power by a thread after losing her majority at last month's general election, she can ill-afford any dissension in her ranks as the bill. Even the smallest rebellion could bring the legislation - and May's government - crashing down.

Nonetheless, there are plenty of Tories who have the character and the track record to suggest they might rebel. Click on the gallery above to see some of the likeliest candidates.
