'I think this pope is the greatest we've ever had' - George Galloway defends Pope Francis in chat with calle

Our host said he believed in the current head of the Catholic Church

George Galloway has firmly defended Pope Francis while speaking to a caller.

Norma had called into The Mother of All Talk Shows to express her displeasure at the head of the Catholic Church over the course of his trip to Myanmar and Bangladesh.

She appeared to be annoyed at him asking for forgiveness for not doing enough to help Rohingya Muslims.

Our host gave his own view on the matter, saying: “I believe the Pope's approach was a diplomatic one. I believe behind the scenes, the Pope worked hard for a solution to the Rohingya Crisis.

"I believe that, because I believe in the Pope. I think this Pope is the greatest Pope we’ve ever had, certainly in my lifetime.

"When people who should know tell me he did and said everything that was required and necessary, but the proof of the pudding would be in the eating."

Watch above.
