Simon Danczuk says 'Jeremy Corbyn would be dangerous'

Jeremy Corbyn would be dangerous in Downing Street and he'll start to have problems as leader again as his party has peaked, according to a former Labour MP.

The former MP for Rochdale Simon Danczuk joined Sam Delaney to discuss the latest political stories. Sam asked whether he'd rather have Theresa May or Jeremy Corbyn as prime minister.

Danczuk responded: "Theresa May undoubtedly. She’s somebody I’ve worked with in Parliament and I do rate her in terms of being a smart, strong politician.

"[She's an] absolute failure in terms of running a general election campaign, but she’s not daft and you want the country to be run well, and I think Corbyn would be dangerous in Downing Street."

Danczuk believes: "Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party peaked in that [the general] election and still lost and I think we will see it gradually slide backwards and he will have problems as leader."
