A White House correspondent has claimed a pro-Trump pastor shouted abuse at her during a Martin Luther King Day event.
April Ryan claims she tried to ask Donald Trump whether he was racist as he left the room because the event at the White House was ending.
However the journalist alleges a pastor named Darrell Scott started swearing at her and calling her rude, Being Liberal reported.
She claims she hit back by saying "this is about the first amendment [which protects freedom of speech]", but it only caused the man to start being more aggressive and loud.
Speaking at a Newseum panel she said: "I’ve never felt fearful like that, I was doing my job, whether you like the question or not.
"This is the President of the United States, and when you have people…wondering about comments [that have been made over and over]…I had a right to ask.
"It’s a sad day when you have to ask the sitting US President if he’s a racist."
