Those who want Parliament to have a final say on the Brexit deal just want another opportunity to stay in the European Union, says MP Iain Duncan Smith.
Lord Michael Heseltine is leading a rebellion in the House of Lords against Theresa May, wanting to ensure that Parliament have the ability to veto the Prime Ministers Brexit negotiations, including if she comes away without a deal.
Conservative MP Smith told Paul Ross: “All those people who are saying they want to vote on the ultimate terms, are really wanting a vote to say actually you got it wrong last time we don’t want to leave any more.
"What do you do if they’re all divided? Some people might like a bit of this and not a bit of that. You get a confused state.
“This nonsense in the Lords about them maybe putting an amendment in, if it does come we’ll overturn it in the Commons."
