Several people have called for Jamie Carragher to be sacked as a Sky Sports pundit after he spat at a 14-year-old girl who was mocking him about Liverpool's defeat to Manchester United.

The former footballer, who is one of Sky's most revered football pundits, has apologised after a video was released of the incident, according to the BBC.

He is seen winding down his window and spitting at the girl in the passenger seat, who also had her window down.

Carragher has said he did this after being "goaded" but admits it was "totally out of order."

A spokesperson for Sky Sports has said the incident showed "unacceptable behaviour" but the broadcaster "will be addressing it with Jamie."

Despite this, many have suggested that he should be sacked and others have described it as "embarrassing."

Some have also criticised the other driver for shouting insults through the window and Carragher for opening his.
