A paedophile police officer who made indecent photographs of children and possessed extreme pornography has been dismissed by the Met.

PC Lucas Beach was dismissed by the Metropolitan Police Service following a one-day special case hearing.

Beach, based at East Area Command unit in Romford, answered an allegation that his conduct amounted to a breach of the Met’s standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘discreditable conduct’.

Beach had pleaded guilty to making indecent photographs of children, possessing prohibited images of children and possessing extreme pornographic films at Basildon Crown Court on June 29. He was forced to confess following an investigation by Essex Police.

On July 27 he was sentenced to a rehabilitation activity requirement, participation in an internet sex offenders programme and handed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for five years.

The chair found the allegation proven and the officer was dismissed without notice on Friday December 1.
