A man has died after falling over a railing at the Chicago Cubs baseball stadium.
The 42-year-old landed on his head when he fell over the railing at Wrigley Field on Tuesday (May 16), according to ABC 7.
The incident happened just before 11pm after a Cubs baseball game against the Reds. He was then taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital via a private ambulance, police said.
However doctors were unable to save him and he died of his injuries the next day.
Chicago Cubs subsequently released a statement, saying: "Following yesterday's game, a male fan was injured after a fall as he was exiting the ballpark.
"Paramedics responded immediately and transported him to a local hospital.
"We have since learned he passed away today though we have no further information. The thoughts and prayers of our entire organszation are with his family during this difficult time."
