Melanie Skyes launched into an impassioned monologue on talkRADIO about Women's Health magazine and its latest feature with celebrity Maya Jama.
Mel, a fitness fanatic who subscribes to the magazine and has appeared in it several times, says this was the first time she has felt the choice of cover star was motivated by celebrity rather than a desire to promote a healthy, aspirational lifestyle.
She explained that Jama, a TV presenter and girlfriend of rapper Stormzy, gave the interview while hungover and drinking Coca-cola. She also talked about eating McDonald's regularly.
"The magazine are writing it like she's got balance in her life," Mel said, "but as a magazine that promotes health and fitness I don't know that was a good dialogue.
"Eating Mickey D's and full-fat coke, that's not really balance.
"I don't want to read that she's hungover, I don't know why they put it in there.
"It's just constant - 'it's all right to be like that, it's all right to be like that.'
"It's done to sell copies and not to keep me informed."
