A London police officer has admitted six sexual assaults by touching.

PC Michael Bouwers, attached to Sutton borough, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with the offences.

He was bailed to appear at Kingston Crown Court on Friday January 12, 2018 where he pleaded guilty to all the offences charged.

All of the offences are alleged to have taken place while the officer was off-duty at a party in a pub in Wallington, Sutton, in December 2016. The complainants are six adult females.

Bouwers will be sentenced on Monday February 19, and the Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed. The officer is currently suspended from duty.

Once all criminal matters have concluded, misconduct proceedings will take place.
