'A non-entity, a mediocrity' - George Galloway blasts Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson in opening rant

Willamson replaced Sir Michael Fallon after he resigned over previous allegations of inappropriate behaviour

Monday, November 6, 2017

In his opening rant, George Galloway has labeled Gavin Williamson "a mediocrity" in the wake of his appointment to the Cabinet.

The former Chief Whip replaced Sir Michael Fallon as Defence Secretary in the wake of the latter's resignation over allegations of past inappropriate behaviour.

Our host made it clear he was not impressed by him.

He said: "The Russians must be laughing, because of course, they’re involved in everything.

"Having forced us to have a drunken lecher as the secreatay of state, they’ve now forced us to get rid of him and replace him with a complete non-entity who doesn’t even fill the rather cheap suit he habitually wears.

“As it has turned out, the non-entity, the mediocrity who has risen without trace and has taken the job of the secretary of state for war, was the Chief Whip.

"Tory MPs are reportedly furious. The air was blue in the tea room and members spat blood about the fact that Fallon was forced out by a report from the chief Whip, who then got Fallon’s job.

"He’s never held any other office. He’s never held a ministerial position, and now his finger is on the nuclear button."

Listen above.
