Police investigating man's death-defying jump in front of speeding Stratford tube train

Police are investigating after a social media stuntman uploaded a video of himself jumping in front of a speeding trasin at Stratford station.

The user, whose account is called Uglyf***ingteen, vaulted the platform just seconds before a Westbound Central Line train arrived.

It's not the only extreme video on the account; another clip shows a man jumping across another tube line which is empty, almost crashing off the platform onto the track on the other side.

This video has racked up 21,000 views, but - unfortunately for the wannabe daredevil - also attracted the attention of the authorities.

Steve Burton, Transport for London’s director of enforcement, confirmed the clip was being investigated.

He said: “This behaviour is extremely reckless and will not be tolerated.

“The actions of this individual not only pose a risk to his personal safety, but also the safety of the driver and passengers. We are working with British Transport Police to ensure appropriate action is taken.”

A BTP spokesman added: “This behaviour is extremely dangerous and our officers are currently making enquiries.

“Every day our officers face tragedy on the railway, it is impossible to understand why this man put himself in such danger.

“If anyone has any information which could help us investigate, please contact BTP by sending a text to 61016.”
