A rapper has been cleared of ordering a machine gun murder which killed an innocent man to gain revenge for the theft of his jewellery.
CBiz, whose real name is David Osadebay, had been accused of arranging the shooting which resulted in the death of Oliver Tetlow in North London.
Tetlow was shot and killed after he was allegedly mistaken for a member of the Church Road Soldiers gang in Harlesden.
The Old Bailey heard that Osadebay had his jewellery stolen whilst he was at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, according to the International Business Times.
The next day several individuals, said to be from the Church Road Soldiers gang, posted a video online brandishing the stolen jewellery.
It was alleged that Osadebay then recruited Jahmico Trott, Romane Young and another person to carry out the murder. However Trott and Young were cleared after an alibi was given in December.
The court heard that Tetlow suffered 14 gunshot wounds to his stomach, chest, hand and leg. The prosecution claimed the gunman and weapon were never recovered.
The killer is said to have escaped in a car, which was later found burnt out in Ealing.
