A Republican voter has defended Donald Trump over his Steve Bannon spat and claims author Michael Wolff is not respected.
Wolff has written a book entitled Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. It claims former strategist Bannon said Donald Trump Jr's alleged meeting with Russians was "treasonous."
Trump has responded by saying Bannon "lost his mind" after he lost his White House job and his lawyers have informed Bannon he was violated an agreement of non-disclosure.
Former worldwide vice president of Republicans Overseas Jan Halper-Hayes told Julia Hartley-Brewer "a lot of people actually don't respect" Wolff and Bannon wants to "put some kind of knife into Trump’s agenda."
She claimed: "A lot of people who he has quoted in the book are saying those are not their quotes and he has misrepresented.
"The thing about Michael Wolff is that a lot of his fellow journalists claim that he tries to write as if he does have all of the intimate access when it turns out that he really doesn’t."
Halper-Hayes also believes Bannon is "really almost fighting against the establishment but also seems to want to put some kind of knife into Trump’s agenda and I don’t think that it’s going to work."
