talkRADIO presenter Saira Khan has said it's vital that Muslim women remove their veils in court.

Khan, a Muslim herself, was debating the issue with Sharia Court judge Amra Bone, after Britain’s most senior judge backed the removal of veils by witnesses in trials.

"This is Britain, it's a British court of law, you're here to abide by the rules," Khan said.

"The rules say 'show your face'. There is no argument."

Bone said the issue should be considered, but asked "what are the logical consequences of this?

"If we were to prevent women wearing veils, does that mean we can't employ blind judges or barristers?"
