A second policeman has been treated for injuries in relation to today's attacks outside the Houses of Parliament.
It had already been confirmed that a policeman had been stabbed and was receiving medical attention outside the gates of Parliament, but now talkRADIO's Alex Dibble reports that an officer has been receiving treatment for injuries sustained on the adjacent Westminster Bridge.
Although details of today's attacks are still being clarified, it appears that a man mowed down several pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before ramming the gates of Parliament and attacking a policeman with a knife. He was eventually shot.
Dibble told Sam Delaney: “A policeman has been stabbed, that was confirmed about half an hour ago, and the paramedic that I just spoke to said she was attending another policeman who had been wounded on the bridge.
“One man said he saw this car career onto the pavement [on Westinster Bridge] and people 'just go flying' - that was the phrase he used.
“The cordon since I got here has already been extended and extended again and again."
