Tim Farron is asked about his beliefs on gay people because journalists know it will make him squirm, and it's nothing more than bullying.
That's according to Lib Dem commentatorStephen Tall, who told Julia Hartley-Brewer that whilst he believes in a free press these questions simply aren't relevant.
However, Julia argued that whilst the questions on Farron's beliefs were indeed irrelevant to the general election, asking politicians about personal beliefs isn’t bullying - and people have a right to know.
Tall added that if journalists are to ask Farron about his beliefs, then they should ask all leaders.
