Two people have died after an explosion rocked a gunpowder factory in Southwest Poland. 

Around 15 - 17 people are thought to have been injured in the blast, which occurred at the plant in Makolno, which subsequently collapsed. 

Local media reports that two people remain unaccounted for, while four people have been hospitalised with burns.

At the moment, the cause of the explosion is unknown - authorities are continuing to investigate. 

Explosives experts have been called in to deal with the case, and say there is no further threat of explosions.
