A 40-year-old woman has been arrested at Prince George's school on suspicion of attempted burglary.

The arrest took place at Thomas’ Battersea School yesterday (Tuesday September 12) at around 2.15pm local time after the woman broke into the premises.

The arrested woman was taken to a south London police station where she remains in custody.

Police say they are working with the school to review its security in light of the incident. Officers were deployed to the scene immediately.

George started at the school last week, prompting international media to flock to Battersea in an attempt to gain a glimpse of the prince. If he remains at Thomas's until he begins secondary school, it is thought the fees will amount to over £170,000.
