A woman who has no plans to get married at the moment has taken wedding photos with her grandfather, in case he passes away before she really ties the knot.

Fu Xuewei told the Chengdu Economic Daily in China that her grandfather, Fu Qiquan, has had two strokes in the last two years and has suffered heart disease.

She explained doctors have warned that he may not have long left to live and said “I don’t have any plans to get married now, but I want my future children and loved ones to remember his face.”

The 25-year-old explained her grandparents helped bring her up as her parents were often at work and also got divorced when she was young.

The woman also said she was spoilt by her grandfather and she can't imagine what it will be like when he's no longer here.

A few weeks before the photoshoot, where she wore a white wedding dress and her grandfather wore a suit, she also paid tribute to him in a very permanent way.

The South China Morning Post reported that she's started to have an image of his face tattooed on her arm, which is due to be completed soon.

The grandfather said he didn't mind that she wanted the photos. Qiquan said: “She wanted [them], so we just went. Her parents were divorced, so I wanted to make up for it."
