George Galloway: 'Tony Blair is trying to divide Labour and create a centrist block, while ruining Brexit'

Tony Blair has urged the public to rise up against Brexit

George Galloway believes Tony Blair is using his anti-Brexit comments as part of a plot to "create a centrist block" in parliament by dividing Labour and the Conservatives, while absorbing the Lib Dems and ruining the Brexit process.

The former Prime Minister has urged the British people to "rise up" and change their minds about Brexit, as he believes they voted "without knowledge of the true terms of Brexit." He added that we must find "a way out from the present rush over the cliff's edge."

The talkRADIO presenter believes that Blair's comments are a "hand grenade thrown at Jeremy Corbyn and the timing of it is clearly deliberate.

“I do think that Blair has not given up hope in Labour politics, he intends to divide Labour, divide the Conservatives and absorb the Liberal Democrats.

“He hopes to create a de facto centrist block in the Commons and a bigger one in the Lords to wreck the Brexit process. For me that’s what his game is, I’ve been sure of that for many months."
