In this week's talkFILM podcast, legendary director and actor Paul Feig has revealed that he "couldn't direct a movie in sweatpants".

Feig, who has directed the new comedy-thriller, A Simple Favour, revealed in an interview with podcast host Jamie East that he was "always in a suit and tie" on set.

Discussing his new film, he said: "I call it a friller, a fun thriller. It's a thriller first and foremost.

"I'd been looking for a thriller, and I didn't know how to write a thriller from scratch.

"It was sent to my company to produce. They didn't know what to do with it, they were like it's crazy, is it a comedy is it a drama?".

The director also revealed a hidden tribute in the film for viewers to look out for.

"There's an ode to my two dogs that passed away. One of the vlogs is when she's talking about tombstone tributes, and there's a little rock that has my two dogs names on it."

Actress Ruth Wilson also dropped in for a chat to talk about her role in the gothic horror flick, The Little Stranger, which is set in post-war Britain.

Wilson revealed that she had been asked if she wanted to put weight on for the role, but refused on the grounds that "I would be really miserable if I had to stuff my face with doughnuts".
