Strictly Come Dancing is set to return for another series in September.

Among the line-up are sports stars, singers and social media influencers, plus the world's number one table tennis player.

So who has been announced so far?

James Cracknell - Olympic rower

Double Olympic gold medal-winning rower James Cracknell was reportedly banned from taking in the show in years past by his former wife Beverley Turner.

The pair split last year, and the 47-year-old will now be joining the 2019 line-up.

Cracknell won rowing gold medals at the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, and earlier this year became the oldest university Boat Race winner whilst studying a philosophy degree at Cambridge University.

Dev Griffin - Radio host

The BBC Radio 1 host is best known for presenting the station's weekend afternoon show, but Strictly will not be his first foray into reality TV.

He has also competed on the BBC's Celebrity MasterChef, getting through to the final, and appeared on Channel 4's SAS: Who Dares Wins for Stand Up To Cancer.

Alex Scott - Sports pundit

The former Arsenal and England star already has Strictly experience under her belt, as she took part in last year's Sport Relief special, which she won with professional dancer Pasha Kovalev.

The 34-year-old, who is now a sports pundit on the BBC and Sky, told Radio 1Xtra DJ Ace that the Argentine tango  has the "passion and the energy" that inspires her.

Will Bayley – Paralympian

World number one Paralympic table tennis player, Will Bayley, was revealed as a contestant by the talkRADIO breakfast show.

"I’ve never ever danced in my life apart from in a club, and my friends are like 'Stop dancing Will, you’re awful'," he told Julia Hartley-Brewer.

“This is the biggest thing ever to happen for my mum. She doesn’t care about my table tennis.”

Bayley was born with arthrogryposis which affects his limbs. He said dancing on the show will be “a real challenge”.

Jamie Laing – Reality star

Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Lang knew he would be a contestant for the past month and said he struggled to keep it from his mum.

“She's very excited, it's one of those shows that not only do you get to learn a talent and things like that, but at last she'll be proud of me,” he said.

Michelle Visage – Singer/Reality show judge

American television personality Michelle Visage said she is glad to “slap on the sequins” at the age of 50.

“Things may not work like they did when I was 20, but 50 also means FABULOUS!" she said.

Visage is known for her role as a judge on the US TV show RuPaul's Drag race, and was a singer in the band Seduction.

Emma Thynn, Viscountess Weymouth - Businesswoman

Emma Thynn, Viscountess Weymouth said Strictly will be an "amazing experience from start to finish".

Karim Zeroual – Children’s TV presenter

Karim Zeroual has been a children’s television presenter with CBBC since 2014 and has performed in shows including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Lion King.

He said he is “pinching himself” to be taking part, and cannot wait for the flamboyant costumes.

Mike Bushell – Sports presenter

Sports presenter Mike Bushell is hoping to be more graceful than last year when he fell into a swimming pool during a live TV interview.

He said: “I know I will completely throw myself into the whole experience and I'm sure will love it from start to finish.”

Catherine Tyldesley - Actress

Actress Catherine Tyldesley left Coronation Street last year after seven years playing Eva Price, and said she was “terrified” to be taking part.

“Here we go! Hold onto your jazz shoes- it's gonna be a bumpy/clumsy ride!” she said.

Saffron Barker – Vlogger

Saffron Barker may not be a familiar name to some viewers but to a younger audience she’s a star, with four million social media followers.

The 19-year-old singer and lifestyle blogger said being on the show was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.

David James – Former footballer

Former England goalkeeper David James won 53 England caps and previously held the Premier League record for the most clean sheets.

He said he has “some big shoes to fill” following in the footsteps of other sportsmen who have gone on to win.

Emma Barton – Actress

EastEnders actress Emma Barton said she is a Strictly Come Dancing superfan and looks forward to “diving right in to all the glitter and sparkle”.

She has portrayed Honey Mitchell in the soap on-and-off since 2005.

Chris Ramsey – Comedian

He said he is looking forward to “the possibility of making a fool of myself in front of millions of people”.

The 32-year-old said he was more likely to be found at the buffet at parties, rather then the dancefloor.
