Jon Holmes opened his show with a discussion about Blue Monday and the things that can cheer us up today.
He believes that we can be glad about three things on this dreariest of days: "One, Michael Gove’s not coming on [this show]. Two, the Queen’s cold has got better, apparently. And three, the outgoing US Secretary of state John Kerry has visited a site in Vietnam where he killed a man."
The talkRADIO presenter also commented on Michael Gove's interview with Donald Trump, after Gove himself discussed the subject on Julia Hartley-Brewer's show this morning.
Jon said Gove has been "pictured today standing grinning next to the yellow straw head president-elect.
"Michael Gove there, his face like a child has moulded a double chinned slugs head out of a mixture of playdough and kinetic sand and glued it to a human skull."
