'Tristram Hunt doesn't quite get Friday the 13th', says Jon Holmes

'Tristram Hunt has missed the point of how to celebrate Friday the 13th', says Jon Holmes

Jon Holmes believes Tristram Hunt hasn't celebrated Friday the 13th correctly

Friday, January 13, 2017

Jon Holmes opened his show with a discussion about the snow, the BBC's fake news department and Labour MP Tristram Hunt resigning.

He believes Labour MP Tristram Hunt's resignation has missed "the point of how to celebrate Friday the 13th, that’s not how you do it.

“He didn’t wear a scary looking hockey mask while doing it, didn’t put an axe in anybody. Typical of today's MPs - totally out of touch with what the people want."

Jon also questioned why the BBC has set up a department to identify fake news, as "surely they already had a department to do that called the news department?"

There was even some helpful advice for those who can't get to the phone to call into talkRADIO, due to the inclement weather which has battered the UK this week and brought chaos to vast swathes of the country.

Jon said those who can't get to the phone to call in due to the snow are welcome to "battle your way through the blizzards and come to the studio" instead. Generous to a fault, as always.
