The Big Debate: Jon Holmes asks – Do we need bones?

We've got a bone to pick with you

“It’s the great big bone of contention, isn’t it?” Jon Holmes gets down to the nitty-gritty with another intense debate as he asks - Do we need bones anymore?

The question came up after retail store BHS collapsed into administration, leading to competing retailers circling around to pick at the bones.

Joining Jon on the show to hash this all out were Dom and Tom. Tom felt bones were still necessary to everyday life. Dom, however, furiously disagreed.

“Without bones there’d be no osteoporosis, no need for bone marrow treatment – we could save a fortune on the NHS," Dom argued.

Conversely, Tom argued his point by asking the all-important questions: “How many jellyfish are at the top of the food chain? None, because they have no bones.

"What will the Mafia do if they can't break bones as a warning? Without bones there’s no warning, you’d just get shot in the head.”

But Dom wasn’t backing down, insisting: "See... bones just lead to gang culture.”

We'll leave them to agree to disagree...
