The Big Debate: Jon Holmes asks the nation - do we need fathers?

Or does he?

Monday, April 11, 2016

Jon Holmes tackled another all-important question today: Fathers, what's the big deal?

The topic follows on from the recent story that Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, found out his dad wasn't who he thought he was when DNA tests revealed Sir Anthony Montague Browne was his real father.

Enter Pete and Graham.

Pete is completely against the notion of fathers, claiming: “It’s just so old fashioned, isn’t it? We’ve moved on. If science can make a child without a dad, then why have dads?"

Graham, on the other hand, is very much in favour of the idea of fathers and, upon being told science is working on an alternative, he had a rather emphatic response: "Perverts!"

"I've got one word for you Jon," he added. "Sperm. Need I say more? No fathers, no children."
