The all-important question was posed this afternoon by Jon Holmes as part of his daily Big Debate.
Do we need water?
Just ponder that dilemma for a moment...
Unsurprisingly, this topic of conversation split the nation right down the middle, with some thinking it was imperative to our wellbeing, while others simply thought it was massively overrated.
James from Scotland said: "I just think it has a ludicrous reputation. This time of year, summer’s coming, I like to go to the seaside. Very often you’re quite hot and you want to have a dip in the water. But the wetness has attracted the sand on to your feet, you have to sit down or maybe find a tap or something. The whole thing is very inconvenient.“
Fighting water's corner, meanwhile, was Karen, who was positively outraged by James' comments. “Your Scottish friend, talking about getting sand stuck on him? Well, that’s down to the sand, that’s not the water," she said. "And what’s sand? It’s dry, it needs water. We just need it. I don’t know what the world is coming to.”
And there's a lot more where that came from! Listen to the full debate and let us know what you think...about water.
