The Diversity Paper Review: Holidays, hairdryers and body clocks

It's a newspaper review with a difference

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

Jon Holmes is keeping up the diversity on his show with the 'Diversity Paper Review'.

Today he invited back Johnny, who is a Jew, to review the papers once more.

Topics included a mother who's being fined for taking her children out of school for a holiday, even though her children went to separate schools with different holiday times, the new Dyson hairdryer, which is quieter than the previous model, and the best ways to optimise your body clock, which includes having a post-lunch slump at 2pm.

Here's what Johnny had to say:

On the woman who's being fined for taking her children on holiday: "Being Jewish, our holidays for Passover are different to Easter. While all your non-Jewish friends are off at Easter, we're then off later off in the year. Everyone who's Jewish is off now, when Easter was three weeks ago."

On a hairdryer that costs £299: "This hairdryer, people will buy it just because it's a fashion item. They'll use it for three weeks and that's it."

On optimising your body clock: "I definitely have a post-lunch slump. I watch Loose Women and have a little nap with a nice relaxing radio station."
