Denise Van Outen has expressed her excitement ahead of this weekend's Bold Is Beautiful march, saying "the girls will be taking over."
The Bold Is Beautiful Project works to raise money for charities which support women. Benefit Cosmetics is supporting the project's latest fundraising initiative, a march around London in support of Look Good Feel Better, which supports women who have been treated for cancer, and Refuge, who help victims of domestic violence.
It is the second march the project has organised, and the TV presenter is keen to be a part of it.
"I wanted to get involved because I've been personally affected," she told Paul Ross. "My best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer just over a year ago and she's now in remission.
"Myself and all my girlfriends wanted to do something nice with her to celebrate her recovery. The girls will be taking over."
One in four women experience domestic violence in their lifetime, while one in eight will develop breast cancer. The actress advocated how important it is for victims of domestic abuse and cancer patients to feel confident in themselves, and to know there are people who can help.
"There's no reason why you can't still look beautiful and feel good in yourself," she added. "As a woman, this is how you want to feel.
"People do need to understand there is a charity to turn to. I want to get the message out there about the two amazing charities we're supporting."
