Alexia Russell, news director at Newstalk ZB in New Zealand, joined Jonny Gould and Ash to give the latest on the school performance of Sweeney Todd which ended with grim consequences.

Two students from Saint Kentigern College in Auckland, New Zealand sustained injuries to their throats during a school production of the macabre musical, ‘Sweeney Todd’.

Russell explained that due to the nature of the production where many characters have their throats slit as part of the storyline, nobody noticed that two of the actors sustained serious injuries.

“The reason why two of them were injured was because nobody was aware of it… they went down the trap door and disappeared.”
