The Work Experience Film Review: Bastille Day, Miles Ahead and Joy

Idris Elba stars in Bastille Day

Friday, April 29, 2016

Forget IMDB and the like, the only place you need to go for your movie reviews is the Jon Holmes show on a Friday afternoon.

That's where the work experience kid casts his, ahem, 'expert' eye over the week's big films.

Up for discussion today was Bastille Day, starring Idris Elba. "It's very tense," says Barry. And how is Elba in it? "He's baiscally Luther." Oh, right.

Next up was Miles Ahead, a new biopic of jazz trumpeter Miles Davis. So, of course, Jon got Barry to sing that review in a jazz stylee. That's very much a must-listen.

And finally came Joy, the true story of a woman who founded a business empire around the design of a new mop. So, quite frankly, we don't care what Barry had to say 'cos we're not going to see that!

But if you want to know what he thought of it, feel free to have a listen.
